At Nashville’s iconic Tootsie’s, excitement filled the air as Ed Sheeran made a surprise appearance—but one guy couldn’t have cared less. While the crowd erupted in cheers, this unimpressed man stood motionless, barely glancing at the global superstar. Fans around him sang along, capturing the unforgettable moment, but he remained unfazed, sipping his drink like it was just another night. Social media quickly took notice, dubbing him the “chillest guy in Nashville.” Whether he didn’t recognize Sheeran or simply wasn’t a fan, his non-reaction became just as viral as the surprise performance itself….

My man didn’t come to Nashville for a concert, he’s just here to party with his boys for St. Patrick’s Day and listen to a cover band play “Sweet Home Alabama.”

You never really know what – or who – you’re going to see when you go out in Nashville.

Of course a lot of people come to Music City thinking that they’re going to see celebrities everywhere they go, and that’s not exactly the case, but it’s also not entirely uncommon to see a country singer in the wild when you’re out and about.

Especially with all of the artists who have their own bars on Broadway these days, there’s always a decent chance that somebody makes a surprise appearance at their bar or just shows up to hang out.

Kid Rock is a frequent guest at his bar, Jelly Roll has made a few appearances at his new bar since it opened, and of course Morgan Wallen has been arrested at multiple bars in downtown Nashville…

And Tootsie’s is another bar on Broadway that seems to be a popular spot for artists to show up and hop on stage for an impromptu performance.

Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge obviously has quite the storied history in country music. The famous purple bar used to frequently serve as watering hole for artists who were playing the Grand Ole Opry when they would sneak out of the Ryman Auditorium between shows and walk across the alley into the back door of Tootsie’s. And it still serves as a must-stop for many artists – including Ed Sheeran.

The British pop star made a surprise appearance on Broadway this weekend, stopping into Tootsie’s and hopping on stage (in his pink cowboy hat) to perform a couple songs. And while most of the crowd was pretty pumped to see the superstar singing in the bar, Sheeran shared videos of one guy who seemed…well, less than impressed.

Sheeran poked fun at the guy’s complete lack of interest, asking if he finally won him over when the guy was spotted singing along to the pop star’s “Thinking Out Loud.”

But in another video that Sheeran shared, the guy could be spotted looking equally uninterested as Sheeran was singing while standing on the bar directly in front of him.
